Focus Session - Advanced Core with Planks
This 6-week Advanced Core Series will include six live virtual classes (45 minutes each) on Saturdays at 10:00 AM, along with six supplemental pre-recorded videos (30 minutes each) sent out midweek for you to complete at your convenience.
The goal of this focus session is to strengthen our abdominal muscles, progressively increasing the challenge each week. Functional core strength is the focus.
Our abs are not only an aesthetic goal, but also assist us in twisting, lifting, and many other activities in daily life. This session will challenge your coordination, deepen your mind-body connection, and leave you feeling strong and toned.
If you are ever unable to attend a Saturday session, do not worry. You will receive a recording of the class to complete at your convenience.
Who This Is For
- Someone who wants to gain a better understanding of core engagement in their body.
- Someone who feels comfortable putting weight on their wrists.
- Someone with a Pilates movement foundation who wants to dive deeper into functional core strength.
Suggested Equipment
A mat, light hand weights (2-3 lbs), and a small Pilates ball. If you do not have a Pilates ball, you can use a small pillow instead.
